Making of a Diecast - West Coast Precision Diecast

The pictures below are shots from the development of the 1959 Impalas.

This is a 1:12 scale model that is carved to get scale correct and to define what the model will look like before the manufacture starts production on the 1:24 scale version. As you will see in the photos below there is a lot of time and effort put into the making of a new image, especially when the new images are as detailed and intricate as the West Coast Precision Diecast stuff is. These photos were shared with us when the owner of WCPD, first started the ‘59 Impala project, and we had never seen the development of die-cast cars in such detail. Being of such interest I decided to put them on the web to share with those that had interest in die-cast cars and how they are made, of course these photos do not show the whole process but they will give you an idea of how things are done and how intricate the models of WCPD, are. Please enjoy.
